THE EVENT....
like previous years, has been a Relaxing and Enjoyable weekend for Vmaxers and their Buddies.

ROGER WILSON

was unanimously chosen as the

"2008 Mr Vmax Wet T-Shirt  Hunk" .

Well done Roger, it was fun to look at your performance.

 SATURDAY MORNING MASS-RIDE

WE HAD a nice 60 km ride to the "BUSH TAVERN", the oldest bar in Umdloti, enjoying the sea view, rugby and some refreshing drinks.

Our great thanx go to Andre Blignaut jnr, who did an excellent job in acting as a *Traffic Cop stopping all traffic for us at Traffic lights and Stop streets.......
*(we strictly kept to the speed limit of 160 km/h

The "Bush Tavern" Umdloti
the rest of the group was hiding in the other corner of the bar.........I wonder if their wives new they were there....

(pic by Garry "SpongeBobVmax" Smith)

WE ALSO WOULD LIKE TO MENTION

Roger Wilson.....again, who did a great job in collecting Entry Forms & Entry Fees from 26 South Coast biker Buddies, mostly members of the "WHEELS" motorcycle club of which he also happens to be a member......

 GARY "SpongeBobVmax"SMITH

of the "BIKE SA" magazine, attended our event on Saturday, and took quite some pix for his article to appear in next weeks October issue....

GARY....!!!!!!!! tell SIMON FOURIE (your editor) to expect a rush of S.A.Vmaxers to their local bookstores for his magazine..... and....to print a few hundred extra.......just in case..........!!!!!!!!!!!!

MIKE DE VOS

OF THE

YAMAHA IMPORTERS

pleasantly surprised us  with

AWESOME

(collectors items)

Vmax-T-SHIRTS & AIR SCOOP LAPEL BADGES

HE HAD them expressly flown-in from Japan for our event.

They were  manufactured for the Vmax launch in Italy.

THANX A LOT MIKE..........!!!!!!!!!

THE
"2009 4th S.A. VMAX ODYSSEY GATHERING"

AFTER a chat with quite a few of our members...... we all came to the same conclusion that the word "Rally", used in the name of our first 3 events, is not an appropriate description of the event, as some people might associate our event with other run of the mill bike rallies.

As all Vmaxers who participated in our previous events already know, our event is different....

It's a social, relaxed weekend of mature... like minded... passionate Vmaxers, and.... not to forget, * potential Vmaxers as well.....

*This is one of the reasons why we encourage our members to bring their non Vmax biker buddies along and see what we....and our Maxes.....are all about.
P.S.
THE WORD "ODYSSEY" is described in the Dictionary as follows:

1: A long wandering or voyage usu. marked  by many changes of fortune.

2: an intellectual or spiritual wandering or quest.

TO ALL...... FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SUPPORT.
YOU HAVE BEEN GREAT AMBASSADORS
for the
VMAXWORLD SA OWNERS GROUP.

The weather was just what the doctor ordered, and it contributed to a lekker and safe run.

The turnout was great, and the spirit was absolutely fantastic.

Without you our 3rd Vmax Odyssey Rally 2008 would not have been such a huge success.

See you again next year

Hi Hans

Thank you very much of another outstanding weekend.  It is my second Vmax Odyssey Rally

and will definitely attend the next.  Linda and I had such a nice time and André junior

enjoyed it just as much specially the traffic cop part.

Thanking all the organisers and I hope that next years Vmax Odyssey will attract even more

Vmax'ers, the ones that didn't join us don't know what they have missed.

Groete / Regards
André Blignaut

Hi Hans,

I trust that you are well. I’m sorry that I missed the rally this year.

I wonder if you or anybody in the Vmax fraternity can help. My max is due for it’s 30 000 mile service which is a major one. I simply want to know where the best place in Johannesburg is for this kind of service.

Kind regards

Michael Wood
